Help cool off Artifex Pereo

@brandonspeck

Tooth & Nail’s Artifex Pereo is currently touring America – in a hot van. The band tweeted this dandy a couple of days ago.

Do them a favor – buy “Time in Place,” available online and on shelves that still feel the need to sell discs.

Silvertide Revival? Hints of it, anyway

@brandonspeck

One of my favorite bands of the early 2000s, Silvertide released a new single, its first in a decade back in September.

“Try Try Try” is straight from the band’s grungy, bluesy style. If there were ever dancing rock ‘n’ roll, Silvertide is it. It’s Black Crowes with a bigger touch of garage grunge.

Months after the single, there is still scant news of a new record or a tour. Even the band’s Twitter bio hints at a return.

Here’s hoping to Philly boys will get back on the bus and back on the shelves soon.

For now, here is “Try Try Try.”

Evanescence announces three US dates

(From Loudwire)

@brandonspeck

Back in April, it was revealed that Evanescence would be returning to the concert stage for Ozzfest Japan, their only scheduled appearance of 2015. But as Amy Lee says in a new posting, playing one date is a bit of a waste. As such, the band has booked several more shows for November, including three U.S. stops.

Lee states, “You know, we’re already playing Japan, and it seems like a waste to do all that practicing for just one show…. So to finally answer the question many of you have been asking since the Ozzfest announcement, YES. We’re adding 3 U.S. dates in November!”

Nashville’s Marathon Music Works is one of them on Nov. 13.

New The Bunny The Bear out Friday

@brandonspeck

If you wanna go on a musical journey with pit stops everywhere from screamo to schizophrenia, pick up the new The Bunny The Bear, “A Liar Wrote This” on Friday.

Here what vocalist Matt “The Bunny” Tybor said about told Substream about the record and new vocalist Haley Roback.

“’A Liar Wrote This’ has already taken a very special place in my heart. I am extremely proud of the hard work put in by all involved, especially Haley, my new ‘Bear.’ It was wonderful working with my long-time friend and producer Doug White, and I couldn’t be more confident with the new direction we’ve taken. We didn’t want to shut fans out by doing a 180-degree change, but the vigor Haley brings definitely earns its place on ‘A Liar Wrote This.’”

Substream is also streaming the whole record. Click to head there to listen.
